What Does It Mean To Be Bereaved / brokenhearted Spiritually?
This is a situation where many people become helpless and long for the help and salvation of God. God who is our comforter comes to our aid and helps us . David asked God to silence His enemies as said in Psalms 31: 18 Let the lying lips be put to silence which speaks grievous things against the righteous in pride and contempt. This assures us that the Lord will always save us from our enemies just like he did for David. The Lord will always protect us from the evil one’s he will always heal us from all our wounds just as said in Psalms147:3 He healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds. The Lord hath promised us that he will heal us from all our wounds
How To Avoid Being Brokenhearted Spiritually?
1. Allow God to heal your broken heart with his Word:
This involves admitting that you need God , accepting him as your Lord and Personal Savior and telling Him to take control over your life.Hebrews 4:12 says , the word is living and active , sharper than any two-edged sword, Piercing to the division of soul and spirit ,of joints and marrow, discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. His word says that he knows the intentions of the heart so if you go down on your knees and accept Him willingly, he would heal you .
2. Repent from your sins:
As Christians , we must be able to repent from our sins whether knowingly or unknowingly.
Get rid of all bitterness ,rage and anger, brawling and slander ,along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other just as in Christ God forgave you .
– Ephesians 4:31-32
We must accept our mistake and ask for forgiveness .
1John 1:9 explains, if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. The moment you ask for forgiveness of your sins, the Lord will forgive you because admitting our sins and wrongdoings is vital to God healing a broken heart.
3. Never stop reading the word:
We must continually read the Word of God because we eventually know more about God, obtain wisdom ,knowledge and greater understanding of the word.2Peter3:18 says Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ .To him be glory both now and forever more. Amen.
Why We Should Not Be Brokenhearted Spiritually
We should avoid comparing ourselves to other people but be content with what we have . The fact that someone is rich now and you’re not must not be a reason to stop praying or to stop believing in God.
Keep your lives free from the love of money , and be content with what you have because God hath said never will I leave you, never will I forsake you”.
– Hebrews 13:5
As children of God, you must continually have faith in him by trusting and obeying His word. The Lord said Jeremiah 29:11, For I know the plans I have for you , declares the Lord , Plans to prosper you and not to harm you,plans to give you hope and a future. The lord has assured us in His Word that He has a plan for us and He is in control
